complement补足谓语的词或短语（尤其是名词或形容词）。主语补语补足系动词，并对主语重新命名或加以描述：Martha is my neighbor. She seems shy. 宾语补语补足及物动词，通过描述或重新命名直接宾语来完成：They found the play exciting. Robert considers Mary a wonderful wife。
